    Re: Heathrow Engine centre

    Hi ds1

Are the Credit card people ok with the car being scrapped? Do they have all the information they need, if relevant to them e.g. Independent engineers report, so they can pursue these people. If you have posted this info before, ignore me, as I have not read every post.

If you look at the companies house details, Hallmead of which HEC is part, are in the process of being struck off as they have not filed accounts. They will no doubt be dissolved in due course and be set up again under a different name. If you look at the address companies house uses, this is just an office for a company that provides mail boxes and sets up companies with companies house. The director/owner lives in Kent apparently.

You should go to your local mp and the local press about this.

    Re: Heathrow Engine centre

Just thought that I would add to two pence again as my last (disgruntled) post was back in April.

Well I managed to get my car back and yes it has covered a marvelous 142 (weekend) miles since rebuild, been running it in nice and gentle watching was I was doing, taking care, checking the oil, fluids, temps etc etc and it has ceased.

Will I be trying to resolve this with the warranty paperwork that they gave me? I would find it hard as I wiped my backside with it and of this place when I finally got my car back.

Now with a reputable garage trying to sort out the problem.

Re: Heathrow Engine centre/Engine Warehouse Ltd

Try a search on Law Society website, Just type in "Law Society" and you will get home page and a search for the solicitor specialising in what area of law you need.

Try to act fast everyone because GUESS WHAT? THEY ARE PLANNING TO CHANGE DIRECTORS, SECRETARY AND OTHER DETAILS. COULD IT BE COMPANY NAME AND / OR REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS NEXT? ( AGAIN)

What reasonable company acts like this? A good business will respond to customer complaints, and bad reports by improving and cleaning up it's act in an attempt to remain competetive and try to regain a good reputation; this company ignores it's unhappy victims; ( they are not seen as customers) and runs away from it's responsibilities by adopting the same tactic of voluntarily liquidating. Remember it's only about a year since Engine Warehouse was "born" to wriggle out of the mess that was left by Heathrow Engine Services, Heathrow Engines, Hallmead, and on, and on, and on! If Tesco had as many changes of director, secretaries, and company names as this company you would be asking serious questions about the credibility of how trusworthy the company was. For some strange reason some people still don't get it and believe this forum is the product of twisted, bitter people, they will still make the same mistake as others and myself have made by letting them go anywhere our cars. THIS REALLY SHOULD NAIL IT DOWN FOR ANYBODY WITH HALF A BRAIN; WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE; DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THESE PEOPLE, THEY WILL TREAT YOU THE SAME WAY NO MATTER WHAT NAME THE COMPANY HAS, THE COMPANYS' HISTORY SHOULD SHOUT THAT FACT CLEARLY.

Have you tried Companies House website? You have to pay a fee for more than a basic search but it might be worthwhile.

    Also try http://www.ukdata.com

    Running Man

I have no particular Interest in HEC as I have never used them. But following some of the posts I have seen here, I have looked at details of this company and think that any proper police investigation will reveal alot more. If you do a search for Motor trade media you will note a site advertising various companies inc engine centre. If you look at reconditioned engines and Nationwide windscreen and repair services (under components), are these owned by the same people? If you investigate further with companies house some companies advertised on Motor-trade-media, have been set up and dissolved. Further Investigation I am sure will reveal a myriad of companies, where companies are set up, directors changed, accounts not filed, company dissolved, set up again. I did read somewhere that the owner of the company lives in Kent and is ex-millitary. The web site Internet Marketing Kent funnily enough is from Whitstable Kent does not appear to be dissolved. It would be interesting to know what relationship Internet Market Kent has with these dodgy people. If they are a legitimate company, just providing the websites, are they happy to be associated with HEC, The Engine Centre, whatever they are called. Perhaps they should be informed of the comments on this site and on other forums.

No I don't. You would have to request the relevant documents from companies house. I think they cost £1 per document.

I think it would be interesting to see what Internet Marketing Kent would do, if they found out about the reputation of the Engine centre. If I were in their shoes I would end any business relationship very quickly and remove the internet sites if this was legally possible.

Re: Heathrow Engine centre/Engine Warehouse Ltd

    RM

Why don't you arrange to hold a protest march near their premises in Southall. You would have to contact the Police to obtain permission and you could get the local press to cover the event. The police investigation may or may not get anywhere but one thing that will make a difference is bad publicity in the press.

In a previous post I did mention a possible director name but this was removed. If you do a search a name does come up, as they replied to another forum saying they were the Managing Director. This was back in March 2008. They are still listed as a director of a company and reside in Kent.

    Good luck
