    Re: WARRANTY COMPANIES

Hi --- I had dealings with warranty direct some years ago, I had reason to claim twice and never had a problem, they do insist on seeing the correct service records, which can be from an independent garage as long as it's carried out within reasonable time as in the service schedule.

I made two claims over four years by following their claims procedure, as in ring them first tell them the problem and inform them of quoted cost.... then get an authorisation number from them first, then I had the work done paid the bill on my credit card, sent the bill to WD who true to their word sent payment back to me in two weeks, so I could clear the card before interest was due. I believe if you go to their authorised network of garages, they will settle the bill direct with the garage also.

All in all ....I found them to be straight forward and efficient to deal with...no problem as long as you read and follow their T & C's. !

    WARRANTY COMPANIES

I have an Audi A6 which will run out of warranty in a few months and I intend to keep the car for the next few years. I do about 25k pa and was looking at taking out a warranty with either Audi or with a 3rd party company such as warrantydirect. I have looked in the web and get mixed reports. Any advise would be useful.
