Pipex - quickest way to self harm possible.

I can not say one good thing about this bunch of rabble that go by the name of pipex. I was with tiscali & the service I had from them was beyond belief, so I decided after some time to change my ISP. I was told by some people that pipex was a good ISP, so I changed to them. Within weeks of my changing to pipex, guess who bought out pipex ( tiscali ) the ones I was trying to get away from & the nightmare started all over again & is still going on.

I have had a continuing problem since start up, well a few of them really. But one main one that is still going on after 6 months & all I can say is it drives me wild every time it happens. As we all know being on broadband, if we receive a phone call & make one, all should be well, no problems at all. Wrong!!!!! Ever since we joined this bunch of cowboys, each time we receive a call or make one we get kicked off the net. Now there is no reason for this at all, we do have a small extension, but we have had computer engineers look at this & they say it will not have any baring on this problem at all, the only thing it will or may do is to slow down the speed a little, but not much & in no way is it causing this problem.

Other than that we have filters in two places as we are meant to, the firewall & anti virus we have are fine & again have been checked out by engineers. So there should be no reason why this keeps happening, but has it been sorted out, NO WAY!!!!. We have even twice followed there instructions on there customer services & both times they messed up our whole computer, to the point that we had to get in computer engineers to sort it out & fix it. We were told by off watch or offtell I can not remember what one to send them a letter explaining the whole problems & if they did not answer in 12 weeks, to them contact cesas. That 12 weeks in now one week away & not an answer at all & boy can I not wait for cesas. I want gone from this joke of a company, how one earth can they be allowed to get away with all they do, its beyond me. They are a running joke & there customer services, can anyone understand what they say, I can not???? Each time I have been forced to call them, at the end of the call I am close to screaming & I am sure not one of them knows what they are doing, as I am sure they are reading it all from a script.

I would not advise one person to go to pipex as it will be the worst thing they will ever do & they will regret it for a whole year until they can get away from them. This is one company that needs to be closed down, well its tiscali really that is behind this whole thing, so as I have said before, how on earth they are allowed to get away with treating people this way is beyond me totally. They should be being fined millions truthfully, they should be made to deal with problems or there licence taken away from them, as I said at the start. This company & any dealings anyone has with them, is the quickest way to self harm I can think off & I am not usually that kind of person.

Please anyone stay away from these people for your own sanity's sake. If anyone has any advice they can give me on how to get away from these people sooner, please let me have it.

I had the same problem with sky broadband. Whenever phone rings the broadband got disconnected. Customer support was not helpful, they always try to find a fault at your end. I canceled the contract and switched to BT and amazingly the problem was gone from the first day they activated my broadband.

    Hi All.

Just to say that I have now changed my ISP from Pipex ( who are owned by Tiscali ) & I am sooooo happy its beyond belief. Now Just to say a few things since this happened, I asked pipex for a Mac code to leave there sorry ass behind. After 2 days from asking for a Mac code, guess what pipex did to me!!!!!!! They cut me off!!!!!!!!! They switched me off broadband connection totally. I phoned them lots of times, I was lied too by & from there customer service people, they told me that I would be reconnected in 24 hours, it did not happen. They then said I would be connected in 48 hours again as I am sure you can work out, that did not happen, then they just refused to deal with me, no matter what I said to them, I was off the Internet for 9 days in all & seeing that I am disabled & the only way I have access to the outside world is through the Internet, it was as if I was blind for those 9 days. Great way for a company to treat someone normally never mind someone in my position. Now as we are all more than aware of, this is not meant to happen as all, there is meant to be a smooth transition over from one ISP to the other ISP. With no or maybe only a small break in service, but did this happen with Pipex, like hell it did. I am in the process of writing a letter to the MD of Pipex with the relevant consumer references, dates & policies. Anyone who is thinking of going to deals with this company must in my opinion need to have there heads seen too.
