    Re: next online

I once complained about their service due to a mistake made by their call centre and they said I would get 20% off my next order. Luckily there was I about to place an order worth a grand for bedroom furniture...that was a great deal I got! Next gets my vote anytime :)

I too have the problem of them sending unwanted catalogues but I'm hoping if I complain soon Iwill get another 20% off!!

    LOL

all reasons (not that any more were needed) to avoid Next...
The main reason to avoid them, however, is the awful quality of their products (IMO).
There is much better out there for the price.

    Re: next online

I must admit, I have had to tell Next over and over again not to send me their Directory. They still do it and i still make them refund the money every time - once they even said they were coming to pick the blimmin' book up??? Huh??

    Re: next online

Next are, well to be polite, a bit cheeky with their online system.

Not only are they forcing you to set up a store card before you can purchase anything - and therefore remember to go back on and pay for it before interest charges accrue - but they also force you to pay for the brochure as and when they issue a new one.

The wife likes the internet and much prefers to shop online due to the ease compared to bundling two toddlers round the shops, but Next's way of forcing you to take out their account AND charge you the best part of £5 each time they bring out a new catalogue is very unfair for those who just tick the box "I agree to the terms and conditions" without reading them like the wife did....

I'm sure this is a scam of the future that more and more will do to ensure people go into our already congested town centres to visit their stores to receive poor service.

    next online

bit of an odd one, I just ordered some stuff online from next, I thought I would register and then pay by switch..however it sets you an account up and then sends emails confirming order and states it is awaiting account authorisation.
There is no order number, reference number or any information at all!
So I called them up and the woman was helpful, she spoke to the internet team who said that yes it had all gone through ..they credit check you and then give you an account..
the lack of information is astounding. I'm not that bothered as I dont mind having a next account but im amazed at how bad their system is and how easily others would get duped into having a credit account without realising.
The woman i spoke t osaid that she has had others call up just as confused as me :0
