I’m after some advice please as I am completely clueless when it comes to money!

My partner and I just starting to save for a mortgage and we intend to buy in 4 years time. We aim to save as follows:

2007 - £100 each (£2,400)
2008 - £200 each (£4,800)
2009 - £300 each (£7,200)
2010 - £350 each (£8,400)

Total - £22,800

What is the best way to save this money with maximum interest? We do not intend to make any withdrawals until we are ready to buy. We would also prefer the money not to be easily accessed by us so there is no temptation.

Any advice please?
