    Re: Anyone joined ADAC?

I have been meaning to answer your post but could not find my password. oh dear! but know it now.

We were wondering about taking out the medical cover on our Plus membership for just the last month of your tour in Europe this year as we are going for an extra 3 weeks and our Bank cover onvly gives us 92 days then you have to pay over another £90 to get covered for 3 weeks. Seems such a lot.

Anyway the question is how much does that cost and does it just cover medical because I think we need lost of stolen items as well which the Bank policy covers. What do you do about that?

Thanks I look forward to your early reply.

    Re: Anyone joined ADAC?

    Hi all,

I have ADAC membership addressed to my UK home with no problems all. I regularly drive between homes in Greece and the UK, also with my caravan.
Last year I had a major crisis with the caravan as the tow bar broke (only three weeks old at that !!) as IO was driving through Italy. ADAC were brilliant.......

I also take out the membership PLUS for medical cover etc.....

    Re: Anyone joined ADAC?

We joined ADAC in March for our holiday with car and caravan in Europe as no UK company would cover us for an 8 meter twin axle caravan. Green Flag would but only thro the CC and that was nearly double the cost of ADAC applying direct to Germany on Line. 79.90 euros is what we paid.

Now we are 4 years with the ADAC. there is an english explanation on their web site. Can also help with any german, fluent. Let me know if you still need more help.

    Regards

    Re: Anyone joined ADAC?

ACE in Germany are much cheaper than ADAC and they cover Europe too. I used to be with ADAC and have been with ACE for the past 4 yrs. I believe you will need a German address for both (at least for the ACE) but I know that ACE will accept a British licence plate (it's you that's insured, not the car).

If you are under 30 yrs you pay EUR 28.75 for the first year, EUR 57.50 thereafter and also if you are over 30 yrs.

    ADAC membership is EUR 79.50.

    Anyone joined ADAC?

ADAC is the German equivalent of our AA / RAC. They are apparently much cheaper and offer cover throughout Europe for around the same as we pay for homestart in UK. My German is not good enough to understand their website, any guidance on how to go about joining would be greatly appreciated, thanks (Dankeschon) in advance.
