Re: No-one gets anywhere with SKY Broadband

    1. send Sky your hourly rate for resolving disputes and a letter stating that you will charge them for every letter.

    2. Invoice them for the letter that will tell them that they have not resolve your issue and that they must do so within seven days.

    3. If they fail to respond, invoice them again, adding another charge for the privilege and demand a letter of deadlock.

    4. keep all letters and correspondence and wait for the prerequisite time for CISAS to arbitrate the issues

    5. if they have not paid your invoices or taken you seriously - take them to court for your outstanding invoices and continue to charge for each violation of your time.

The Great British reserve is simply being laughed at by so-called service suppliers who waste people's time, money and effort. If you hurt them in their wallets, they are more likely to deal with the issue - especially if they are on the receiving end of legal judgements.

Go to BT if you are a business or try a local ISP is Internet access is not important and you use it occassionally.

Re: No-one gets anywhere with SKY Broadband

I`m not sure what i can say to help you or even put your mind at rest ,but believe me i have been trying to get SkyBB since October 22nd, and after umpteen phone calls where i got all sorts of stupid lame excuses ,i decided to cancell on Dec 2nd and was told my line would be clear for another broadband user to connect to by dec 7th...THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED!!!!!!
( not sure if anyone knows but the minute you request broadband from anyone they immediately put a tag on the line so no one else can issue broadband on your line)
I wont go into all the gory details but i have spoken to at least 12 different phone operatives at Sky AND got their ID REFERENCES cos they will not give you their second name as ref, I have written to them 3 times via recorded and special delivery letters so i knew they recieved them and all i have ever received back is a letter from their support manager saying they had a problem and were unable to contact me by phone!!! what a load of cr*p ALL MY TELEHONE numbers were clearly typed on ALL 3 letters sent to Sky including my 24 hour mobile contact number.
I have also spoken to BT and spoken to their Broadband Tag removal helpline and BT have confirmed that Sky have still got a tag on my line which will NOT allow any other Broadband supplier to access my line , BT legally cannot remove the Sky tag/marker until they has personally received a closure notice from Sky ..WHICH I MIGHT ADD IS NOT FORTHCOMING AS OF YET!!!!!!!
SO A WORD OF WARNING--- DO NOT EVEN ASK ABOUT HAVING SKY, THEY ARE NOTHING BUT TROUBLE!!!!! even if you dont get the parts and you cancell, you then cant get rid of the service / tag / marker,
I am a Service Director of a well established (25 years) Fork Lift truck supplier and i know if we were to treat customers like this we would not be in business for long!!!!
I am now at my wits end with Sky and other than getting on a plane and visiting their headquarters in Livingstone Scotland and phyically getting hold of someone by the neck , i can only wait like Hundreds or Thousands of other skyBB dissappointed "customers" for my line to clear to allow someone decent to supply Broadband--- ANYONE SUGGEST A GOOD SUPPLIER????

Re: No-one gets anywhere with SKY Broadband

Imagine if Sky did Vacuum cleaners!
    you could picture it now....

day 1: Order a vaccum cleaner..
day7: Phone to chase it ..
day 21: Call again and they would tell you that it has been ordered and they will send another one.
day 22: 3 cleaners arrive by seperate vans
day 23: call Sky tech support - none of the 3 cleaners work, they promise you a callback in 3-5 working days!!
day 32: Someone from Sky calls you to ask if everything is now OK, then promises another cleaner which never turns up...
day 33: call technical and ask for help..
day 40: Technical call back and ask if you have a dustpan and brush that you can use until they can sort your problem, promise a callback but don't!

    etc etc...

day 245: Kim and Aggie knock at your door and ask if you would like to be featured on a Channel 4 program!

But seriously my main advice re: Sky Broadband is simply GET OUT NOW BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE, they are great for TV but when it comes to broadband they are useless!

No-one gets anywhere with SKY Broadband

I have ordered Sky broadband and the line has been activated by BT and is live on 7th Dec.
But I aint got no kit......
    So am on Dial up.

Been told 4 times now that the kit has been posted by parceline. Well i think they are bringing it on Donkeys.
The "data fix" hasnt fixed it.
Ringing every day doesnt fix the "data fix"

    There isnt a fix!

Looking at the posts her I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO. If i cancel and the kit arrives I have cut off my nose to spite my face, and if i dont I may be waiting till next Xmas.
    Anyone got any advice?

Order Provisioning are "allegedly" the biggest set of liars in Portsmouth. If not UK.

I spoke to a Kevin Roberts .He told me that his boss Penny was personally looking at my problem and that we would be called back.
When no-one called I rang and asked to speak to Kevin, and Penny I was told they were "In a boss meeting"
When I rang again I was told that no-one called Kevin Roberts or Penny existed.
I asked to speak to a manager and was told "ooooh we cant speak to a manager, Even we cant speak to a manager"
When I asked them what they do if there is a fire in the building they just said "we cant speak to managers"....

So. I have two kids getting laptops for Xmas. No wireless router, nothing......
I can feel a headache coming on on Monday morning!!!!!

I even offered to pay for the delivery next day, If someone at SKY could "OWN THE PROBLEM" and organise it....

    But they cant.

SKY should take the head of Customer Service at DYSON on to the Payroll.
    Picture this!
Vac broke at 11.00am Thursday. 2 days before xmas break
Rang the help line at 11.05.
Engineer arrived this morning Friday 08.55.
Replaced all broken parts on the machine. in fact there was £100+ of parts.
    Charged £55.
    Top Service.
