    Re: mobile phone

    A deposit of £350??!

Might be a good idea to shop around a bit - I've never been asked for a deposit for any of the various phones I have had.

I've had good service and set-up both from Phones4U and the Orange Shop, if that's any help.

    Hi Lisa,

I to had a bad credit history but i went to the t-moble shop picket the mobile i wanted, picked the contract i wanted and got 1 no problems, i paid nothing @ all. If u can get t-mobile i recomend it, t-mobile have a great package at the moment. i get £60 worth of call time or i can use it on anything i like ie: text picture messages, ect, i also have web and walk. i can hook my mobile up to the lap top and surf the internet with it and also surf the net on my phone, this is unlimited all i pay is £21 a month. Have i sold t-mobile to you? good luck, give them a try

    Hi Lisa

The first thing I'd do is have a look at my credit history to find out why they're asking for such a high deposit. It may also be the address where you live, on several occasions if you live in a house where someone has a really bad credit history in the past this can sometimes affect your credit history badly.

As dinoakaliam suggests I advise you to shop around, as all the shops have different ways of assesing risk and you might find another mobile phone retailer will take you on as a contract customer without an upfront fee.

    Cheers
