    Re: MBNA Cards

In my view, A&L cashback card used to be a great card before they handed it over to MBNA administration. Don't use it any more. Switched to a better terms & reward cashback card from another provider.
Travel cards - forget them. Had one once and built up lots of travel points tied to a named travel provider. Then found it was better value to throw away the points and book the same holiday with another travel provider. Recommend go for cashback every time; you can spend cash anywhere.

I don't see the point! Every time I've been suckered into taking a card for the rewards, I've lost out. You never get round to claiming your reward and even if you do they are rarely worth it - particularly as it's takes forever to save the points!!! Don't bother - go for 0% rates everytime! Then reward yourself with the money you save.

Depends... I think it's a balancing act. You have to weigh up if the rewards meet your needs or not. If you're going to make the most of the rewards then it could outweigh the expense.

    MBNA Cards

MBNA has recently launched rewards and travel cards with extensive offers for their customers. However, do rewards cards work? Would you choose a card based on its special offers or do you only look at the APR and fees?
