    Inefficiency of British Gas

My Auntie died and I told British Gas that I wanted to keep the electricity on for the new owners, when her vacant property sold. They opened an Executor account for me which was not opened properly. They have taken my final reading and placed it as being the start of my own occupation under a new customer number. I have been getting computer projected bills which go up every time they send me one. They say I now owe £78.00 and are going to take out proceedings against me if i don't pay. I have rung them until I am sick of ringing. I have spoken to about a dozen of them, who have assured me that they have fixed things but they don't. I have written to the complaints dept and got no response. I have been told that they will ring me back 3 times but they have not done so. I am worried that this will appear as a black mark against me with the credit reference agencies. What else can I do? Paulette
