    Re: electric usage

hi,, i dont think its you,, i currently have both gas and electric three teens,, have a timer for the heating,, for one hour in the morning,, and and back on in the evening for 3 hours,, same as you for washing and drying,, between both gas and electric i am currently using £45 per week,, i heat the water over night.. i switch it on at 1 am,, yes i get up to do this, and turn it off at 5 am. i cant afford, i have now turned of the heating, and told the kids to wear more clothes as its cold in the house, im disabled and cant afford the heating... i think having a pre paid meter you pay more for that option. i worked out that quarterly, im paying just under £600 sorry if that sounds depressing, but its too expensive

    Re: electric usage

    dogbety 123,

From looking at your readings it appears that they do seem to follow the average consumption.

Annual consumption for electricity in the UK avergaes out at about 3300kwh per year. Broken down (and not taking into account seasons) the average daily consumption averages out at about 9kwh per day.

From your readings i assume that the end digit is in red (or a different colour to the rest of the reading) and therefore the average daily consumption from these figures is about 4kwh.

    I hope this helps.
