Hi - I am in a similar situation to that described in your initial post (again a listed buidling with flats in it and again with Ross and Liddell!). I am interested to know if you were able to arrange cheaper building insurance and if so then what company did you go with?

    Thanks.

Suggest you try Ecclesiastical Insurance as a first step and then google for "listed buildings insurance" to line up some other possibles. This is too specialist for any of the comparison sites.

Ecclesiastical insure most of the churches in the UK and have considerable expertize in historic buildings.WRS Insurance are specialist brokers in this field.Towergate Partnership are large brokers with a scheme for just about any field of insurance so are likely to be able to quote here. The insurance company will pay commission to any broker you use.

Building Insurance for Grade A Listed Building

I live in a Grade A listed building and there are 12 flats in it. Currently the building is insured through our factor company Ross Liddell and we got charged at very high premuim about £750 per flat for building insurance only. As a result, we decide to outsource our building insurance instead. However, there are somethings we are unclear about and wonder if anybody could help please?

    1. Where should we go to get the best quote on building insurance for listed building?

    2. Can I do the comparison via Money Supermarket or is there any broker who can help us to get the cheapest deal please?

    3. If we go through a broker, do we need to pay any broker fee at all please? Thank you.
