    The interest on the credit cards will be higher so they should be paid off first.

    All,

    If you had a lump sum and were able to pay off your mortgage (circa £100,000) would you do so having circa £12,000 of credit card debt or would you settle the cards (after cutting them up!) and leave the balance on the mortgage?
