    Re: debt payments!!

You may have seen in recent days on the TV news that HSBC was adversely critised for its high pressure loan sales techniques (what you describe above and HSBC call 'manageable') to customers already struggling. One of its key critics was the CAB. I think you should make an appointment with the CAB asap AND take all your paperwork/notes with you showing how hard you have tried to sort this matter out with them, only to receive the brick wall treatment.

    Good luck

    Re: debt payments!!

the arrears was from the loan i got from my own bank, i have contacted them so many times explaining my situation and at first they said they can offer me manageable loan(to pay existing loan and have a payment that i can afford) but apparently i do not qualify for this, and theres nothing they can do for me even freeze the interest for the meantime, my bank is hsbc. i keep on insisting this is only till april untill i go back work.NOTHING!!!! Any suggestions please, what else can i do??!

    Re: debt payments!!

"i have arrears already" - What sort of debts are they eg your own bank? What is the state of direct communications between you and your creditors - do they all know your situation and did you take the initiative to contact them/those you are in arrears with?
