Re: Has anyone used the USCC (unsecured credit company)

I had a random call from USCC and I certainly didn't ask for them or request when looking at quotes, as they was polite and asked if they could help with a quote I said yes please well after a few question I was quite surprised that they got to the question what was my sort code and bank account number, is this normal practise?? but as I was on the road and very busy I just quickly delt with them so I could get on well on getting back I looked them up on the internet checked out there loan calculater well paying back 60.4 apr is very steap for a loan it worked out that if I borrowed 10000 pounds the repayments would be 31874 pounds back now my advice would be AVOID no one should get into this much debt no matter how desperate you are...

Just to keep this up-to-date, today I contacted LLoyds TSB and they have not received any application for a loan. So all Moneysupemaket have done is collect my details in order to line their pockets by passing my details to anyone except the people they were intended for. Steer clear of Moneysupemaket.com, USCC and anyone connected with them, as I'm sure they will be on Watchdog or Crimewatch soon.

Re: Has anyone used the USCC (unsecured credit company)

USCC is one of the companies Moneysupermarket pass your details onto if you forget to tick the right box when you are using their website. Hence the biased/glowing review they receive from their staff (Daniel Ashton) on this thread.

My experience of them is that they lie in order to get you to apply for a loan with them. Which will inevitably lead to another credit search, which as Mr. Ashton correctly points out will harm you credit rating.

I used the Moneysupermarket site to apply for a loan with LLoyds TSB. Two days after I had applied and before I had received any correspondence from LLoyds TSB, I received the following text.

We are trying to complete your application made with Moneysupermarket for a Car Purchase. Call us on 0870******86 Today!

Obviously I assumed this was something to do with LLoyds TSB as I had only completed one application for a loan. I rang the number and was asked to confirm some details and was then told that the lender had passed my details to USCC to complete my application.

I asked if this was LLoyds TSB and they guy avoided answering the question directly by say "You applied for a loan on Moneysupermarket in order to complete a loan with us we just need to confirm a few things". At this point I became suspicious and had to ask at least five more times "Is this to complete the application I made with LLoyds TSB?” Each time I asked the question he skilfully avoided it or changed the subject and tried to get more of my personal information. After he realised I was not going to let it drop he admitted this application was a new one with USCC. I immediately asked him to remove all of my details from his system and not to contact me again.

Any company that lies on initial contact in order to trick you into applying for a loan with them and damaging your credit rating, should be avoided at all costs.

I am bitterly disappointed that Moneysupermarket not only passes your details onto companies like this but also condones the way they conduct their business.

    Hi Claire.

Just to confirm, UCC do not charge any admin fees. It is possible the lender that they pass you through to may charge an admin fee but this is added into the loan and is only in certain circumstances, noramlly if you have adverse credit.

    Thanks

    Hi Claire

I haven't used them yet but they do seem to be reputable and they do not charge and admin fee. I think they are a much safer bet than any other broker out there a lot of whom are very dodgy! Good luck!

Re: Has anyone used the USCC (unsecured credit company)

    Hi

The number of creit searches in the last 6 months will definitely have an impact on your rating. So i would recommend that you obtain a copy of your credit file before making any further applications. This will enable you to see if everything is as it should be.

If the information on your credit file is correct then UCC may be a good option for you as they will look for the lender that best fits your circumstances at the best APR, and they cater for those who may had been declined for credit.

If you want to speak to a loans advisor before making any further applications please call our loans team on 0870 027 0269

Re: Has anyone used the USCC (unsecured credit company)

    Hi Daniel

thanks for getting back to me. I have been experiencing problems getting credit eventhough i have a good credit record. The only problems seem to be there have been a few searches carried out in the last 6 months. Feeling a bit desperate last week I decided to apply with best 4 loans which is the biggest mistake I have ever made. I am in the process of trying to sort out the mess that they have made with unauthorised credit searches etc. Trouble is I don't want to pay a ridicolous amount of interest because I have no ccj's or arrears but I really don;t know what to do and I need to get this sorted asap. I need to borrow £6,000 to consolidate debt and have been quoted ridicolous sums from some companies a lot more than what i am paying on the exsisting debt. Please help!!

     Thanks so much

Re: Has anyone used the USCC (unsecured credit company)

    Hi Gonzo.

UCC are an unsecured loan broker, they are one of the largest unsecured brokers in the country. They specialise in customers who have been turned down by their 1st choice lender or if a customer has had adverse credit.

Moneysupermarket.com have a good working relationship with UCC and have recommended their services to numerous customers with positive results.

How have you had your fingers burnt, i'll offer any assistance I can.
