I opened an account on the basis of their free £35 offer. They did not credit my account. Upon querying this I was informed you need a positive balance so I credited my account. Still nothing so queried again. This time they said I had to have a positive balance for over 28 days. So waited again. Still nothing. Upon querying again they said the account had to have a £100 in it for over 28 days. Still nothing. Despite complaining nothing has been done and I never have received the Account Opening Bonus.
Immediately after opening this account the number of texts to my phone was ridiculous and I had to stop that service.
Despite having an agreed overdraft facility everytime I actually use it results in letters threatening to withdraw the facility and queries as to whether I wish to close the account. I'll run my account my way thankyou very much.
My First Direct Credit Card is in Credit. There's no way to get this money into my accounts without charges being incurred.
They have shuffled transactions going out on the same day so they can invent charges which take my intervention to get refunded.
For me First Direct have been the worst Account I have ever dealt with by far.
Strange as HSBC have been the best.
