    Last 'Words' on your post 'SPOT ON' Posted same thing on orange forum but no body admits it after all 'we' are the experts!!!!!!

    I do hope that they emphasised the word TEMPORARILY when advising you to disable AV and firewalls!
    The fact is that call centre operatives have to read from a script which assumes that the problem lies with the user and their equipment. To be fair to the ISPs, in the majority of cases, this is true.

    Technical support

    I recently had a problem and spent two days on and off the phone to their so-called technical support. When you can understand the accent, they took through a long list of "try this", including advice to turn off my firewall AND anti-virus! After two days they finally decided it was a line fault which BT repaired very quickly. Avoid!
