    Re: Talk Talk Tied In

You should get in touch with your conveyancing solicitor as this was an "undisclosed dispute" which should have been resolved before you took possession of the property.

Write and send by recorded delivery a letter to Craphone Whorehouse telling them that the Talk Talk service that is on the line is nothing to do with you and should be removed with effect from the date that you took possession of the property. Charge them line rental until this is performed.

Finally, speak to the Office of Fair Trading and youl local Citizens Advice Bureau as they may also have advice that can resolve this.

    SHARK!

    Talk Talk Tied In

I recently moved home (purchased not tenant) and tried to get BT line activated in my property. The previous owner had switched to Talk Talk and not given them any notification that he was moving home. My calls to both BT and Talk Talk to try and get them off of my Local Loop have been fruitless. BT are powerless to take any action against Talk Talk's "live" equipment. Talk Talk refuse to discuss the account with me as it is not in my name.
I now have a company with whom I have no contractual relationship imposing terms and conditions against me (30 days notice of leaving). And they will not deactivate the line a moment sooner than the full notice period.
Surely this cannot be enforced against me as a disinterested party? They are effectively preventing me from conducting business via a fixed land line which introduces additional cost and risk to my business.
As you can imagine though - the automatons at the end of the line have a million and one unuseful standard lines to reiterate to me. Including "BT can simply take the line back" which shows their level of competence to discuss the issue with me.Although one "suggested" fix is to become a Talk Talk customer, no surprise there and that smacks of anti-competitive measures to me.
Anyone else been in a similar situation that got resolved? I now have a further 11 days to wait as a penance on the previous owners account...
