moneysupermarket.com's .Community Team is a group of staff who administer the Group's charitable donations budget. The .Community Team offers support to registered charities, usually within a few miles of our offices in Flintshire, North Wales. As part of our commitment to the communities in which we operate we welcome applications for support from local charities. Please send requests to community@moneysupermarket.com

Special Baby Care Unit

Special Baby Care Unit

The Special Care Baby Unit cares for around 300 sick and premature babies each year. With 16 cots and a team of dedicated specialist nurses and doctors they provide round the clock care for their very young patients.

Staff on the unit are most grateful for all the support given to them by the public. Donations are used to purchase additional equipment.

Capricorn Animal Rescue

Capricorn Animal Rescue

Capricorn Animal Rescue, based near Mold, has been established for the past 25 years, taking in about 2,000 animals every year from Flintshire and the surrounding area.

Volunteers of the charity work hard to re-home or releasing injured abandoned, orphaned or unwanted animals of all shapes and sizes.

B.I.R.D is an independent charity that has existed since 1982 to provide its unique approach to the treatment of neurological impairment known as 'Developmental Reflexive Rehabilitation'.

Using this approach we work to improve the quality of life of people irrespective of age or severity of condition.

Hospice of the Good Shepherd

Hospice of the Good Shepherd

The Hospice exists to provide highly specialised palliative care for people living with advanced diseases from the communities of Chester, Deeside, Ellesmere port and Rural Cheshire.Their services are provided free of charge to anyone in medical need. These include Medical, Nursing, Social, Emotional and Spiritual support for Patients and their families. Their running costs are over £6,000 each day and they rely heavily on the community for funding.

Hope House Children's Hospice

Hope House Children's Hospices provide practical and emotional support to families facing the pain of losing their precious child. It costs £3.5 million a year to run two hospices - Hope House in Oswestry and Ty Gobaith in Conwy - which rely almost entirely upon donations from generous individuals and fundraising events across the region.
