Supplier Ratings

I have asked for details of energy used and payments made since joining Scottish Power and had no feedback I have had no bills from them since I joined them and they increased my payments from £70.00 per month to £198 without telling me they were doing it. Started at a low price and suddenly hiked it up without a by your leave.

Sorry to leave - Money Talks

Supplier Ratings

I have no issues with the Scottish Power as my current electricity provider though when significant savings can be made by moving to another provider and SP don't come close on a comparison site even on duel fuel deals then it has to be time to move. I hope to save approx £400 over 12months for both my Gas and Electric.

Don't choose Pay In Advance

Added 09/11/2009, reviewed by anonymous (Basildon)

Supplier Ratings

Scottish Power offered their pay in advance option to me a few weeks after i decided to switch my second supplier to their dual fuel offer. Unfortunately for me, their system was not updated so they kept debiting money from my account for the second supply. After calling them to ask why i was still being debited, i had to make another payment of £600 to switch my second supply to pay in advance as well. I then lost access to their online system for months, with no bills in paper or electronic forms. They also continued direct debiting me for 3 months after the 2 payments of £600. I also sent 3 emails to their online support over 3 months with no result. Also, I have now been informed that as a pay in advance customer, i am no longer entitled to an online billing discount.

Changes without knowing

Supplier Ratings

Quite happy with them - till a letter landed on the mat! Telling me i have 14 days to change contract or i will be signed up to the next plan with a cancellation charge of £50! That got me shifting - in the right direction.
