Useless

Supplier Ratings

Applied for both gas and electric to npower but after much faffing around by them and a number of emails/phonecalls from me they still after 8mths have not got round to switching my gas over how hard can it be! Cost me more in having two seperate companies to deal with and now npower have lost my custom all together.

Great customer service

Supplier Ratings

Have just switched to n power from EDF. Had major problems with EDF and meter numbers (long story)! and finally quickly resolved once OFWAT got involved. However, I must say that throughout, each time I have rang n power, their respresentatives have always answered quickly, been extremely friendly and knowledgable, which is hard to find in any company nowadays. Yet to sample any bills and that worries me a bit having read other reviews, but being big energy users especially electricity, to have been paying approx £17/unit with EDF to approx £9/unit with n power makes a huge difference.

Supplier Ratings

I am just changing supplier n-power very expensive can save £400+ per year moving to on-line dual fuel tarriff, also at end of year review reduced my monthly direct debit by £18 this still left me £302 in credit. N-power estimate for next 6 months (winter months) at their unit prices dual fuel a cost of £1252, using their estimate of units used working on unit prices not guessing I worked out as at of todays prices a cost of £925 for same number of units with new supplier. Also switching via a web site which offers a £30 cash back on completion of switch over so a good afternoons work.

Expensive

Supplier Ratings

High electricity and gas prices - huge incresases based on estimated readings. When accurate gas readings were supplied that reduced gas bill the electricity direct debit was increaed by more than the savings on the gas! Very poor qualirty customr service

Steer clear!

Supplier Ratings

I switched from being a BG direct debit customer to N Power on the promise of big savings, wrong! They almost immediately wanted to increase my monthly payments to £200+ p/m! I therefore went on to pre-payment meters to keep a track on our energy spending, only to find out in April that we'd incurred debt on these meters due to them being set on the wrong tariff! I duly complained, but got nowhere and heard nothing! I rang them today to request an up to date statement only to be told my accounts are in credit but they're still taking an amount off me each week! I asked for the matter to be rectified only to be told it would be within a 'few weeks'...they are useless and completely contradictory!!
