RUBBISH BILLING

Added 24/10/2009, reviewed by anonymous (HULL)

Supplier Ratings

Only billed every 6 months , but didn't tell us they had raised charges so we were still paying direct debits for old rates and ended up owing £380 at our next bill with direct debit doubled to pay for short fall and then lo and behold next bill we are £70 in credit! no wonder we are going back to EDF

Worst Provider with Over inflated Rates

Added 24/10/2009, reviewed by anonymous (Perth)

Supplier Ratings

This must be the worst supplier out there. We changed a year ago to allegedly save money and ending up paying three times that of our neighbours. When our supposed deal ended and they increased the rate insisted it was our responsibility and not theirs. The answer for everything is that the weather was bad last winter - thet may be offering a cheaper deal but dont touch them you will pay much more in the end If I didnt have to give a minimum rating of 1 I would have scored zero for all

Horrific service with no apology

Added 21/10/2009, reviewed by anonymous (Falkirk)

Supplier Ratings

We had issue upon issue and it took several calls to gain any resolution. We didn't get any bill for 10 months and kept chasing for one. We had to submit several meter readings but they kept saying they didn't have them. They didn't charge for electricity for the first 4 months and then wondered why our account was in debit. The amount they suggested we pay on a monthly basis was ridiculously low and if we hadn't chosen to up it we would have been more in debt to them than we ended up. On querying the bill we were told 'deal with it' but then after several phone calls they eventually dropped the price to an affordable level and sorted a payment plan.

Dreadful from the word go

Added 16/10/2009, reviewed by anonymous (Pontyclun)

Supplier Ratings

I have had nothing but trouble from the minute I changed to npower. The service is dreadful. No-one knows what they're talking about and their charges are unbelievable. They tried to make me pay for energy that didn't even apply to me - they thought I lived in a high storey block of flats in London, when in fact I live in a semi-detached house in Wales! When they did their checks, they said they had duplicated an account number, but didn't apologise. For 3 months I was receiving bills in a completely different name! I have never had so much hassle in my life. The amount of money I must have spent on the phone to their "customer service" is unthinkable. I would advise everyone to stay away from this appalling company unless you have money to burn!

Awful Awful Company and Service

Added 15/10/2009, reviewed by anonymous (Durrant)

Supplier Ratings

I moved house & explained i wished to pay final bill, they sent it to me & i paid. Once the payment had gone through i left it a month and then called all companies to confirm no further payments were necessary which all companies including Npower confirmed that was October last year in July this year in my new address i received a revised bill for £200, when calling after holding for over an hour i finally spoke to someone who transferred me to someone else and once again had to hold. I finally got to explain the situation to them and they said it must be there error but i still had to pay anyway. While looking into it over the next TWO weeks i received 2 red letters and a demand from a debt collectors!! TWO WEEKS!!! Really angry - useless service from a useless company!! Never again!!
