Confusing bills

Supplier Ratings

With this company you just don't know what's going on. Very bad service - takes forever to get people to pick up the phone AND they get it wrong when you ask them to change the plan!

Overpriced.

Supplier Ratings

We inherited Npower as a gas and electricity supplier when we moved into our current house. In the initial stages Npower's charges were reasonable but every few months I have been recieving amended bills which have meant an increase in the month direct debits being deducted from my account. We are now paying in nearly £200 a month for an average three bedroom house with two occupants!! A figure which I find ridicolus, I have now decided to switch. My advice is to avoid N Power unless you literally have money to burn.

the worst supplier EVER!

Supplier Ratings

so much for quarterly billing, it took 10 months for me to get my first bill off this lot by then they reckoned it was £750 for a 2 bed terrace. thats electricity ONLY! within 3 weeks it had been handed over to debt collectors. so we go from nothing for 10 months, then they are suddenly in a hurry to get it all? never ever again...!

Dreadful Website

Supplier Ratings

The Fixed Price 2011 tariff is only available if you manage the account online, but this has to be the worst utility website ever - it is not possible to find your current tariff without doing calculations based on the figures in the 6 monthly bill. There is no record online of payments made until they appear on the 6 monthly bill. Also there is no record of the annual discount received until the next bill is made up 6 months later. The telephone staff are unable to help with the website. All in all a dreadful experience.

bills always changing scared to change!!

Supplier Ratings

I changed from British Gas to NPower at first my direct debits were low and manageable then each month they kept raising, I telephoned customer services to ask why this was and they said my metering readings were estimated, they continued to raise and a very rude customer service guy told me to move if I wasnt happy but it would be difficult to do.......then I had cavity and loft insulation fitted by them again my direct debits went up, now six months later they have dropped again. I would like to change but fear the customer services and worried they will make it very difficult for me too do....I would never reccommend NPOWER look eslewhere first.
