baffling & expensive

was encouraged to switch by doorstep sales. they kept putting my DD up. ended up paying ridiculous monthly amounts, three times what i was paying before. When I decided to leave them & go back to previous supplier ( Southern Electric) I had a final bill for over a hundred pounds. Been back with Southern electric now for 7-8 months am in credit & monthly DD is a fraction of what Npower charged. Never have understood where they got their charges from. Maybe I was paying for my whole street not just my house!! valuable lesson learnt. Also I can actually get through to a Co. now on the phone. Well done SE, bye bye Npower

In a few words: They made a "mistake" setting up the account and after a year of nonsense they want us to pay more than 1000 pounds on electricity!! They sent me that bill on the 16 days AFTER the payment date. I spent an average of 40 min per phone call to customer service and they always change the situation. They even gave me a reference number for my complaint but I still need to tell them all again each time I call. They send 3 different persons to check the numbers with no ID, and only a mobile to contact them. Etc. Etc. Please don't trust them and I would really appreciate any help you can offer me to solve the problems with them (still running) M.

MIxed Customer Service

Supplier Ratings

Changed gas and electricity to npower on the basis it would save us several hundred pounds a year. The transfer process was lengthy taking several months to complete. Initially npower set our monthly DD at 1.5 times more than BritishGas/EDF, my previous suppliers, but when I rang up and complained they immediately refunded the overpayments and reduced the monthly DD to half the amount. One really annoying thing about npower is you have to deal with separate billing/meter reading groups for gas and electricity and part of the reason for changing was to have a single supplier - this is why I gave them 7/10 rather than 9 or 10/10).

GLUM

Supplier Ratings

Poor service, 1 year into change, will change soon. They are unable to grasp the principal behind a DD budget account and my monthly payment as not remained the same for more than 2 months. they actually doubled my DD payment for one month then reverted to previous rate for a month then halfed it the next month, then................... DIVIDE BY 12 If thats possible, maybe its not as the local authority are unable to make this calculation the find it only possible to divide council tax by 10

I have been invited by money supermarket to write a review - but its umpossible becyase the change over still hasn't been completed initially another flat's supply was changed and then of course had to be cancelled. Now I have given my metre readings several times and they still keep asking again. Don't understand why this is such a problem. No-one has actually contacted me and explained anything - I just keep being asking for a readings. All so odd.
