I am a single mother with a 4 yr old, live in a 2 bedroom property, I received my bill through from NPower and what a shock it was they said I was £1024 in debit to them, I have been paying £70 per month which I was told would be plenty for my small house and limited appliances, when I called them they told me I was consuming approx 24units a day, when I did a weekly reading (once in the morning and once at night for a week) it came in at 10 units a day, they are helpful what so ever, and said I have to pay that money back before I can leave. I cant understand how they can charge me £521 for Electricity alone for the period from Jan 28th 09 to 1st june 09!!! Thats about £104 per month!!, then the gas was on top of that!!

Just received Electric bill and its £867 for just under 6 months use. OMG its not even an estimate!!!!!!!! Time to switch

npower increased my dual fuel monthly bill from £73 to £130 despite me sending a cheque of £239 to bring my account back into the black. As soon as I noticed this on my bank statement I rang their supposed customer service dept who frankly couldn't give a damn. They said that as it was within FIVE working days of my next direct debit they couldn't stop taking this over payment for a second month. They wouldn't even do anything about sorting out my future monthly tariff until this further payment, and my meter readings that I had to provide, had been submitted. Their whole attitude was condescending and they treat their customers as just a number. Couldn't wait to bin them....and I have!!

We have been with this company for six months,No problems, I sent a meter reading on line after an estimated bill, the amended bill arrived in a timely manner,and we are still on the same D/D as ever.

Half yearly bills failed to remain competitive over the 2008-09 period. Calls to supplier were dealt with politely and accurately.
