I switched over to NPower, or should i say my husband got sucked in to it by a door to door sales person. Big mistake it was in or around Sept 07 and we received a bill in Feb 08 for an enormous amount of money. When I telephoned their customer service team to make a payment plan through my internet banking she worked out that if I pay £25.00 a week which is when I get paid I can clear it in time for my next bill. So I kept this up every week and my bill amount was being reduced. Then I received a demand letter from the collections dept telling me that because I have not paid they would gain entry to my home and cut off my supply with in 7 days..I contacted them to notify them of their mistake, the man was very rude and pratically called me a liar.

Have been with NPower for about 16 months and the service has been dreadful. I have attempted to get statements as I like to manage my account but even this little task has turned into a major job! Prices - well I am well aware that all prices have gone up but NPowers appear to be ridiculous!!! Back to British Gas again I think!

I switched over to Npower in October 2007 from EDF - the biggest mistake I could have made. In February I received a £200 electricity bill even though I hadn't been living at the property for a few months. Their customer service is outrageous! It's now July and I'm only just beginning to sort out this excessive bill but I've since had another excessive bill. I've literally, this afternoon been speaking with their customer services only to be spoken to in a patronising, sarcastic and rude tone. These people have no clue how to treat their customers. Apart from their constant inaccurate billing you never get any help when you try and resolve it. If you have money to burn sign up with Npower!

I have been with npower for over 5 years it has taken them that long to link my 2 bills together , one had house name on the other just the address , they could not connect them after numerous phone calls i gave up.then one day when i was ringing for the upteenth time about my bill they realised i was the same person hallelujah! using only 70 units of electric per week but billed for over 3,000 for the quarter , im convinced the bill is wrong and i am in the process of keeping a spreadsheet weekly for proof . did a comparison on site and advised that npower was the best deal saying my annual bill would be under 600.00 it is actually 1600.00 for dual fuel , i am a low user on the gas , so something is just not right !!! my advice if you have a spare £1,000 per year sign up!!

I have been with Npower for 14 months and I still haven't had a correct bill. I had a new meter installed just when as I joined them. I gave them the new and old meter readings over the phone and by email but they wouldn't take my word for it so they arranged for someone to come and check but they still sent an estimated bill on the old meter readings. Each time a bill has arrived, I have contacted them to give the correct readings and each time they arrange for someone to come out to check it. I've had someone come to read the meter about 6 times in the 14 months but still they send wrong bill details. I even ask the person reading the meter if they are here to check the details but they haven't a clue what I'm talking about. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!
