I have been with EON for over 3 years and although at the minute they are not the cheapest I am loathed to leave as the service is so good. I have an online account so any information you want is online - like how much energy I have used over the past 12 months and whether I am using more or less than previous years - all my bills are just a click away and are clear and concise. If my account goes into credit then they immediately contact me and drop my monthly direct debit - they don't hold onto the cash - as long as they stay competitive I will definitely stay with them

Just had meter changed on monday paid £24 since its now thurs av only had £5.70 in gas the rest charges trying to get through is a nightmare been on the phone all day

was with e on from 2006 till 2011 when i moved house. operated account entirely online (meter reading/bills). only time i called was to inform of change of address - great service.

I am moving to N Power who are offering me a cheaper fixed rate for the next 12 months. I set my N Power account up but didn't immediately cancel my Direct Debit for EON. I spotted that I had paid both companies for 2 months, so initially got in touch with EON, who, after having to wait over 20 minutes for an answer, told me quite categorically that they were still supplying me , and that N Power couldn't look after me as they cannot handle my Economy 7 meter. Phoned N Power, not a problem sir, we are supplying you, have been for 2 months, I have been back in touch with EON a couple of times since,over the last 2 weeks to chase return of my money, and each time they have told me that payment is coming will be 5 days before it arrives in my account, but so far nothing at all, leave alone!

After EON mistakenly connected my gas supply to another flat, I was assured that it would be 'sorted out'. They connected my gas supply, but never disconnected the misconnected supply, and left the gas account for the other flat in my name. They then spent months harassing me to pay someone else's £400 gas bill. I explained the situation to countless people at EON and was assured that it would be 'sorted out', but of course it never was. It was eventually sorted out but only after months of stress, many hours on hold (with EON charging me for every minute) and being threatened with a debt collection agency. When I finally thought I'd heard the last, they took £200 out of my bank account, even though my bills were settled 6 months earlier and I don't owe them a penny. Do NOT switch to EON!
