The fix online offer is fantastic, a very competitive price ( ive checked and it is generally only a couple of percent off of other supliers online accounts) but this account is also fixed for over a year! With current prices looking to be on the increase (expected 20% increase) there is no better deal on the market especially with the level of service offered from this company 10/10.

Been with eon for about 3 years with very few complaints - until now! despite being in credit of £70 they have put my direct debit up by £11 per month. When I queried this I was told that we customers should not look on direct debits as a way of being in debt to eon and that I should have left my previous credits, amounting to about £260, with them to cover the winter period. if I had done that my next bill would have been fully paid before I paid anymore. Its ok for eon to owe me money but not the other way round. I also was told that I should not have sent in a meter reading when I did although they state that customers can send in 3 meter readings per quarter - which I presumed was to prevent inflated estimated bills.

Customer service is awful, cheap fuel at the start never come out to read the meter, at the start they reduce my direct debit without asking meaning a large bill to pay at the end of the contract. Not enough invoice to check balance, over the moon its over with E.ON, good riddance.

In the summer I had a flood which required drying machines in my house and the cost of the electricity used for this has been fully reimbursed by my insurance company. Despite me providing written evidence to E-on (and I have also received confirmation from E-on that until that time I was in credit) my direct debit payments have been hiked by E-on to almost 3 times the agreed amount and E-on won't revert to the agreed amount. I can see no point in arguing about this when I can get a better deal elsewhere and definitely wouldn't recommend this company.
