Great console apart from POOR design . i have yet to meet someone online or offline ,who has not had to have there xbox360 repaired and many have multipal repair which do not last . If your lucky realy lucky you will get 13 months of gameplay if your not ,it could be as little as three . if microsoft don't resolve the issue sony will make a fortune . argos has a no return policy ,they will tell you to speak to microsoft . game and gamestation have a no quible replacment policy , so ask before you buy as the repair process can take 3 to 4 weeks . i paid for xbox live but cant use it . beware !

i have to say that both consoles of this market(ps3 and xbox 360) are excellent machines and both will entertain you for hours so either way the machine you buy will keep you happy. The only way i feel that the ps3 is better is due to the fact that there are no hidden costs, you get a free connection to the playstation network and a built in wi-fi system(for use with psp's and for connecting to the internet). when you buy an xbox it will cost you an extra £40 per year to connect to xbox live and a further £60 one off payment for a wireless adapter for your xbox. therefor even the xbox arcade version will cost the same as a 40gb ps3 if you want these additions of course.

The 360 is a dedicated games machine. It doesn't mess around trying to be a multimedia centre like the PS3, and isn't aiming to crack the so called "Family gaming" market like the Wii. It play music, dvds and games, and that's enough for me. The (Optional) XBox Live service will cost you £40 a year extra, but is absolutely worth it, boasting the best online gaming service around. It allows you to keep track of friends and what people are playing so you'll never be waiting in a lonely game lobby wondering if your buddys are online. With no shortage of games and more to come, I'm short on time to play them all. ~ ~ The Wii is unique and special, but not for me. The PS3 is powerful, but has yet to warm up. The 360 plays games, good games. And that's what a games console should do.

Been around for a bit now and is losing pace with other consoles, the GREAT BIG benefit of this system will the price and the games that are out there when compared to the PS3, but still a great media centre.

The Xbox 360 really is gaming at it's best. It has the best catalogue of games, usually the better versions of multi platform games, and the best on-line gaming this side of the old fashioned PC! Yes, the PS3 has a blu ray drive, but the games are where a gaming console needs to shine, and the PS3 is lagging behind. The 60gb won't last you long when most new releases need 5-10gb installations before you can play them! If you are tempted by a PS3 just remember you can buy and a Xbox 360 AND a blu ray player for a bit less, then you will have a better games machine and a better blu ray machine...

I prefer 360s to PS3s and have played both a lot. The control pads are a little bulky but that would be my only complaint.

For me the Xbox falls behind the PS3. Yes the Xbox has the bigger games catalogue(at the moment) but with the PS3 there is no need for add-ons. Already installed is the Blu-ray player, the 60GB hard drive and the ability to go online wirelessly. I do like the Xbox but what I fall out with is after you have spent £200 to get the console, you have to shell out more money to get it anywhere near the PS3.

There is everything in this box to get you started without breaking the bank. Okay the games dont exactly make the most of the system but they are still fun. You can add on the hard drive, extra controllers and all sorts of other stuff later. For my money the Xbox is a much better gaming machine than the PS3 and there is a much bigger games catalogue for it
