With presents, partying and food, the cost of Christmas can quickly mount up. In fact, 45% of UK adults admit they're worried about how they'll pay for their celebrations this year.
Fear not, say we. There are some fantastic bargains to be found, covering every single aspect of your festive spending. If you're shopping with a credit card this year, you should read our article 'Reward your Christmas spending'.
The big four supermarkets - Tesco, Morrisons, Asda and Sainsbury's - are all battling it out for your pennies this Christmas, meaning there are price cuts aplenty to look out for.
Here are our favourite Christmas deals for 2009.
Top for turkeys
If you're in the market for a corn-fed, free-range, locally-reared turkey, you can expect to pay more for your bird.
The price of supermarkets' fresh turkeys - available closer to Christmas - is a closely-guarded secret until they're released.
But if you're in the market for a frozen turkey and want to feed as many as possible for as little as you can, what kind of turkey bargains are out there?
Tesco's 'essential' turkey is priced at £6 and, at 3kg, it should easily feed six to seven. Morrisons cheapest comes in at £10 and feeds four to six, and the store says it could well be unveiling some special offers soon.
Sainsbury's has a Bernard Matthews bird at £10 with an approximate weight of 4.4kg - easily enough to feed seven to eight.
First for food
If you're a regular at Morrisons, you could claim £25 off your Christmas shopping.
You'll need to show five weekly receipts from between 9 November and 20 December, all for £40 or more and all from different weeks (so alas, it's too late if you haven't been doing so) to claim your £25 voucher.
If you have a sweet tooth, get over to Tesco where there are loads of two-for-one offers on sweets and bumper packs of Christmas chocolates. Party hosts and hostesses can enjoy a special offer of two packs of nibbles for £3, while Asda's party food starts at just £1 a pack.
Perfect for presents
There are loads of ways to save on gifts this Christmas. If you're shopping for the kids, read our article 'The 'dream dozen' toys for Christmas 2009' for some tips on finding the best deals.
Marks & Spencer has a huge range of presents and a three-for-two deal that could save you hundreds of pounds. Its themed gift packs can also be an inspiration if you're stuck for ideas.
Asda has blazed into the price war, claiming it will save customers £150million this Christmas. It's already cut the price of its Philips Blu-Ray DVD player to £97 - the first time it's been available for under £100. It also has hundreds of gifts available in it's '3 for £10' range.
Sainsbury's has a three-for-two offer on smaller gifts, while the return of Boots' three-for-two on smellies will make shopping for workmates a breeze.

Best for booze
This is where the best offers are this Christmas, and with a month to go before the event, there's still time for more savings.
When it comes to beer, Asda has two for £16 on boxes of Grolsch, Budweiser and Stella but Sainsbury's tops that with two for £15 on a wide range, including Budweiser, Carling and Carlsberg.
For wine, there really are some great deals. If you're ordering online, the moneysupermarket.com vouchers channel has a Virgin Wines offer of £60 off a 15-bottle taster case, making it just £44.85 (or £2.99 a bottle!). Online shoppers may also want to read our article 'Stay safe online this Christmastime'.
Tesco has half-price offers on more than 50 reds and whites and Asda has three bottles for £10.
Morrison's has gone all out this year, halving the price of superb champagne, including Moet & Chandon at £14.39 (down from £28.88). Sainsbury's has followed suit, with champagne on offer for under £15.
Finally, Christmas spirit: Tesco has multi-buy discounts on loads of brands, including two Gordon's Special Dry London Gin for £20 and Baileys Original Irish Cream, two for £20.
However, Asda tops that by simply offering the bottles at £10 each, so you don't have to buy in so much in order to benefit from the bargains.
Brilliant for board games
Some things have to happen at Christmas and one of those is Monopoly. The best price we found for the traditional game is £12.77 at Tesco and the newest version Monopoly City can be picked up for £12.49 at Argos.
If you're more of a Scrabble household, Tesco wins out again at £9.77, while fans of Cluedo can pick up a new board for just £15 from Woolworths.co.uk.
Trivial Pursuit is always a family festive favourite and both Toys R Us and Tesco have it in stock for less than £30.
