moneysupermarket.com launches 'Prefer to Phone' function for motor insurance
- Unique personal reference number makes the process seamless for customers
Customers comparing up to 113 motor insurance quotes on a results page of moneysupermarket.com will now have two options; 'go to site' and 'prefer to phone'. Those who opt for 'prefer to phone' will automatically be given a personal reference number (see screen grab in notes to editors) which enables the relevant provider to recognise them and access all the information previously entered by the customer on moneysupermarket.com - ensuring a fully informed discussion on a quote that has been returned.
Steve Sweeney, head of motor insurance at moneysupermarket.com said: "We established that a proportion of our customers would prefer to complete their car insurance purchase by telephone. We are, therefore, delighted to offer our motor insurance customers this new functionality, especially as the unique customer reference number means that the whole process will be seamless for customers.
