Norwich Union is now one of the leading home insurance (also known as ‘house insurance’ or ‘household insurance’) providers in the UK. It offers both contents and buildings insurance separately and collectively. The company regularly offers a number of discounts including half-price cover for new buildings and contents customers who have five or more years’ no-claims.

The Norwich Union contents insurance policy, which will cover you up to £100,000, comes with a standard policy excess of £100. Valuables with a single article limit are automatically covered up to £1,500 and garden contents are insured to £250 (with the option to extend to £1,250). The Norwich Union building insurance policy can cover buildings up to £500,000 with extra accidental damage cover available along with home emergency cover.

The company offers additional cover options including up to £50,000 in legal services with a 24hr helpline for legal advice.
