About Mini

Over the years the Mini brand has changed in ownership, design and technology, but without a doubt, the foundations of this small car have remained unchanged since its launch back in the swinging sixties. The revolutionary design back then set the standard for Mini in the future and it has been blazing a trail in the motor industry ever since. In 1998, mini was listed in the Guinness Book of Records as Britain's most successful car, having notched up total production figures in excess of 5.3 million.

In the year 2000, the last mini rolled off the production line in Birmingham, heralding the end of one era and the start of another. Just a year later, in 2001, the first MINI ONE and MINI Cooper were launched by BMW to a rapturous reception.
