About Mazda

Mazda claim they 'create cars that exceed expectations' – cars that are 'daring, ingenious and fun'. Certainly, Mazda have set new standards in style, comfort, performance and safety and have been addressing environmental concerns since 1992.

In 2006, Mazda celebrates 75 years of vehicle production. The first Mazda car launched in 1960 and within just three years car production topped one million. Mazda's most recent development is the RENESIS engine that powers the Mazda RX-8. Now part of Ford Motor Company Mazda is pushing the development of new technologies such as Fuel Cell Electronic Vehicles (FCEVs) and its DIRECO-D direct combustion turbo diesel engine. The former is a clean engine that is designed with the environment in mind, whilst the latter has a Step 4 catalytic converter.
