I bought this over a year ago and at first it all went well in comparison to my 3 mobile dongle. Then everyone else starts to get mobile broadband and the speed dies. It's not just bad; it's unusable for most of the time. Uploading or downloading is a no go. I'd only use it if I was on the road and desperate.

Orange data charges are a nightmare!

Recently I have ordered a 10GB Orange Pack. To control your traffic the dongle comes with a software that shows your monthly traffic. During my first month, according to the piece of software that comes with the dongle my traffic was approximately 9.5GB. However, to my surprise, my bill for that month showed a total traffic of 16GB, i.e., 6GB of data charges for a total cost of more than £400.00 I called immediately the Orange helpdesk to understand the problem. Initially they told me it was my fault, but after many calls they told me that the software that comes with the dongle is not reliable. Orange did not reimburse me. I made a formal complaint and the answer was: "The software provided is not guaranteed by Orange. All the additional data will remain chargeable".

Too irritating to even bother with

I ordered the 18-month 1GB service. After a few days I received an email confirming the order. Alarm bells rang when the email referred to a phone order, along with instructions on how to activate "your phone" by calling from "your orange phone". I replied pointing out the error but ten days later have received no confirmation or response. The dongle arrived, and so did a statement for an amount that was well over the monthly charge or even any decent pro-rata amount. Attempts to query this resulted in an appalling process of being passed around from department to department with almost uniform unsatisfactory support. Both telephone and online support seems to be geared towards mobile phone customers not broadband customers. Life's too short., Orange. I shall be returning it unused.
