AOL broadband has two cost-effective packages that allow all types of users to experience the best of the broadband world – and particularly those who have more than one computer in the house as the free wireless router offer is a huge money-saver.

What do you need?

  • A BT phone line.

  • PC users need Windows 2000 or above. AOL broadband is also available now for Apple Mac customers - Mac users require 8/9 or higher, or Mac OSX.

What else does AOL have to offer?

New customers should watch out for special offers on AOL broadband packages. In addition, connection is free and you get 24hr online support.

Also look out for free wireless security on the AOL broadband wireless plus deal. Both packages also offer AOL Talk at no extra cost. AOL broadband wireless allows you to add Talk Evenings and Weekends for free, while AOL broadband wireless plus incorporates an AOL Talk pay-as-you-go subscription.

A BIG DISSAPOINTMENT!!!!

Broadband Ratings

I have been an AOL customer for a year.... the first 8 months were satisfactory until i cudnt connect to the internet via AOL. Apparently there was a fault with the software. After many long hours at the fone nearly every day for a week and being hung up, unable to understand what they are saying (india call center), being put on hold i finally got thru to someone who knew what they were saying apart from "im very sorry for that". I was then able to connect to the internet using explorer and only if i plug the ethernet cable into my laptop. I would only reccommend AOL to those who will enjoy recieving the service above....NEVER AGAIN AOL!!!!

great broadband service + a free laptop!

Added 29/04/2008, reviewed by anonymous (london)

Broadband Ratings

I recently joined AOL broadband and took their free laptop offer. The customer service while setting up the account was terrific. I'm not very technical so have made good use of their free technical support. The tech support staff are very helpful and friendly. No complaints about the broadband service either. I could thoroughly recommend them.

Total Rubbish!

Broadband Ratings

Was With Aol Since Around 2000 When We Was On Dial Up And Had No Problems What So Ever. Recently Our Computer Stopped Working Due To The Amount Of Virus's We Recieved From The Aol Software! We Tried Reloading Aol On To Both The Old Computer And A Brand New Laptop! And We Was Unable To Connect. (We Was Unconnected For 2 months!) After £30 Worth Of Calls And After Talking To Many Indian People That We Couldnt Understand And That Hung Up On Us! We Finally Connect Via Internet Explorer Yet We Still Cnt Sign In To Aol And We Have Lot All Old Email Addresses And Emails. Aol Took No Responablity For This. Even Though We Are Connect, Aol Constantly Tooks Itself Off And Spends About 10 Minutes Attempting To Connect Again. I Would Certianly Advice AGAINST Aol!

Great service!

Broadband Ratings

Hi, I just wanted to note what a great service I have had from AOL broadband. My speed is not the greatest but I think thats because of my line. I have had to call for technical help on a couple of occasions recently and I have found them really polite and efficient. It's great to use a brand that actually look after you ongoing rather than just promise you everything to get you to sign up and then once you're paying forget about you. Dave
