Broadband Speed Test

Are you receiving the broadband speed you are paying for?

The chances are the answer is no and moneysupermarket.com believes this needs to change. As such, we are putting pressure on providers to improve their service.

Each quarter, moneysupermarket.com will give a Speed Test Award to the broadband provider that gives customers the fastest speed in relation to that advertised.

Last quarter, more than 67,000 speed tests were recorded and we are pleased to announce that O2's 8 Megabits per second (Mbps) package was the overall winner with an average speed of 4.2Mbps. Sky finished in second place with Talk Talk taking third position. With the average speed recorded at just 3.04Mbps for all the tests completed, there is clearly a gulf between the advertised speed and that consumers actually receive.
