    Travel insurance for pregnant women

Help. Do you know of insurance companies that will insure a pregnant woman at 32 weeks?

    Hi Abby,

I'm not sure if they will cover pregnancy, but Endsleigh is worth giving a call. They covered my father for travel insurance and he's had a heart transplant, which leads me to think they may cover you. They were one of only a handful that would cover him, and if I recall correctly, they didn't charge any extra either, plus they worked out pretty competative compaired to all of the other big travel insurance companies.

    Hope this helps & goodluck!

    Hi Abby

Our policy excludes cover for pregnancy and childbirth if the person is travelling within 8 weeks of their expected delivery date (or 16 weeks if you are due to have a multiple birth). However, customers can purchase the insurance and be covered for circumstances not related to the pregnancy.

Other companies may also be able to provide a policy if you are are willing to be uninsured for any complications relating to the pregnancy.

If you have already have an annual policy in place or have had quotes from other companies then it may be worth checking with them whether they are not able to offer you any cover or whether they just exclude claims relating to the pregnancy instead.

    Hope this helps.
