I have been with the Pru for my home insurance for the last 5 years and recently decided to look at changing insurers (my costs had gone up annually to around £550).
Moneysupermarket.com came up with Bradford and Bingley at less than half this - so I changed - at the end of my 12 months- asking the Pru whether it was OK to stop my direct debits - they said "Yes" (I have the email) - so you can imagine my feelings when a letter arrived through my front door informing me that I still owed them a months payment (£33.69) - with a threat of Dept recovery if I don't pay up within 14 days - I have complained to them......
