    Hi Ron8888pink

A standard travel insurance policy should be adequate for your needs.

Hiring a car should be no problem but a travel insurance policy will not cover you if you injure another person or cause damage to someone elses property. However, your own medical costs would be covered. If the bike you hire is a pedal cycle then you should have no problems with this at all in respect of personal injury but if it is a motorcycle you are hiring then you may find the travel insurance cover is limited depending on the size of the motorcycles engine and qualifications. Many water sports will be included within the accepted Hazardous Activities list on a policy and if not can often be added free of charge.

If you purchase a policy that includes personal baggage then this will also cover your property on internal flights, the standard terms and conditions will apply i.e. no cover for valuables in checked in luggage.

The terms and conditions applying to travel insurance polcies do vary from insurer to insurer so it is important that you check the policy that you purchase to ensure that it is sufficient for your needs. So do check with your selected provider that they will cover your planned activities as well as making sure that the benefits and exclusions are appropriate for your requirements.

    Hope this helps
