    Pure Insurance Co.

Received a cold call from this company, which breached the telephone preference block so that's not a good start.Introduced apparently because of my Ford car for a special insurance offer !! I don't currently own a Ford car but it's still o.k,she says. I've got to hear this....lol. Anyway,am I interested in free accident, travel and medical insurance for all your family, free? Yes please...irresistable.

Loads of benefits, too many to mention and garbled at great speed.Ok how do I sign up? Well the first three months are free then £6.99 per month. What about my son at uni? Oh he will need his own policy. So its actually £14 per month and not free? Oh what a disappointment.Well its cheaper than BUPA and you get covered for alcohol !! She must know me.....lol.

Do you have a website? Yes. I will look there then,(but when you do it's one page with a number to ring ........zzzzz)

Have you come across them? Shouldn't there be a law against this sort of dribble? I haven't actually heard of this sort of hybrid policy before, have you?

I havent seen this before, or heard of them.  And with a name like that, it will be difficult to get decent search results

    Can't provide much more information.

Yes that's what I found,a header page just showing a phone number. Doesn't even say 'under construction'.....lol.

The trouble is my mom would probably have bought the policy !! That's why it needs to be looked into.

    Experts?

I had a call from this company and took out the personal accident policy as everything looks above board and legit. I received a quote and confirmation email confirming that I took the policy and I received the policy pack within 3 days, that's good service from my point of view!

    Hi stanners,

So from their cold call you signed up to a personal accident policy for £6.99 per month?

Did you check out other alternatives? As I hadn't heard of them before I would have wanted to check out their credentials via recommendation or at least their own website.

It great it's good service. What are the main features of the policy? I got the impression that it was wider than just PA cover.

It looks like stanners didn't want to answer my questions !! Can the experts here cast any light on this company?

    Re: Pure Insurance Marketing Limited

Sorry, been away for the weekend.

I didn't take out the policy there and then, they sent out an email with details of the policy for me to have a look through and I then spoke to them a few days later when they called back. Received policy pack quickly, quite painless!

Policy is a Personal Accident cover - cash payout in the event of accident. Other aspects (money for going into hospital in event of accident) in there but I didn't get the impression that it was anything but PA cover.

If anything, I haven't lost anything by signing up.

    Re: Pure Insurance Marketing Limited

hi there everyone on this thread found it searching the web and just thought that i would put some light on the situation as i am an employee of the company based in wales.

first off anyone who has exepted the 3months free cover good on you it is how it wass explained to you no hidden catches we do also sell warrantys for cars up to the age of 15yrs with a maximum of 150.000 miles on the clock again this is all above bored,we also sell identity theft insurance that speeks for it self and we will soon be selling alot more insurances of all kinds we are a new and up coming company you will find that there is now a post on our website letting you all know that is is currentlly under construction and gives you the option to email us or telephone for further details we are not a cold calling company we get our data from companys we are likned to and that you have given your number to at one point in tim otherwise we will not call a tps customer. i work on the warranty department but have sold most productsa in the call center the reson the phone rings when the customer pickes it up is because we work off an automated dialer by the time the customer picks his/her phone up ours will ring to let us know that you have picked up and not an answer phone but i will stress the company is and will always pay for the phone call if there is anything else i can help you with or shed some light on please dont hesitate to reply to this and ill do my best to explain anything to you thanks for taking the time to read what i have to say ian.y

    Izzy,

Thank you for clarifying some of this from your companies' point of view.It looks like you have a fledgling business with a diverse, set of products and offerings.

I wish you well but for you to acheive success you need to be able to impress on many counts.Telephone conduct, good training in the products offered, ability to react to customer's questions, and finally professionalism on your website and in the written word.

    Best of luck.

    Re: Pure Insurance Marketing Limited

I am a former employee, i left (of my own accord) because i didnt agree with the ethics of the company. for the record this is not slander or anything so scary lol its just my opinion, .

as an employee i was eligible for cover and so were my family but i feel that a)its unnecessary and b) theres better value out there, shop around. PA cover will NOT pay out for a hospital stay until afterwards so its not as much use as health insurance.

as already stated i do not claim that i know everything, this is just my personal opinion but if i had a call from them? id either hang up immediately or wind them up, i wouldnt purchase cover and i would never give my bank details to any company that they feel they have a right to call me when i didnt request it and nag me to buy their product
