    orange mobile and "free broadband"

i am currently with the orang animal plan and have been since nov 2006, it is an 18 month contract with free broadband. as i currently live in my mums i gave her the free broadband. when she called to accept it in aug last year they renewed the contract for another 18 months! no upgrade. nothing! are they allowed to do this?and i want others to know of this bizzare loophole.

That's why I avoided it, I was going to do the same, give it to someone else. However if you don't do it on day one application for the service is 'deemed' to be a request for the original contract on which the offer is based to be extended to run for eighteen months from the date of either a request for the BB or its commissioning - I can't remember which they told me.

Anyway, it was in the small print somewhere. Like anything 'free' from Orange it comes at a price. France Telecom is not known for its generosity except to its senior managers!
