    Orange Live Box, Advice Needed.....

As a long suffering subscriber to NTL/Virgin Media I am counting down the days till I wave goodbye to the service. I am interested in the Orange Live Box with free B'band calls. Not wanting to jump out of the frying pan into the fire can anyone give me good and bad points about the Orange Live Box reliability? Thanks

Re: Orange Live Box, Advice Needed.....

Oh boy, when will people learn!

Sorry, bad day of Broadband issues. Orange is just another discount house who owns NONE of the infrastucture. They rely on BT to have a decent service. If you cannot have it from BT, and Virgin has given you the bum's rush, I would stay away from Orange with a rather longer barge pole than normal.

The ONLY people to use for broadband are those who supply and own the physical cable between your home and the exchange. Anyone else is simply 'piggy-backing' their billing system on someone else's service.

I have been with most of the ISPs in this country and have ended up back with BT having had enough of the crap service that summarises 90% of the other ISPs in the UK.

Your choice, but be warned - if BT owns the line, then remember who ultimately has to service it.

    SHARK!

    Re: Orange broadband access.

Hello, I just wish to pass on some comments about Orange broadband service. I was using Wanadoo before it became the Orange service, things were o.k till last 3 months ( June to August 2007) when the system frequently refuses to access any websies or Messenger service, this seems to occurr at weekends but this week it has crashed in mornings and evenings as well as weekend.

So even after calling help line and waiting long while then speaking with someone in an Indian callcentre who cant give reason for NON access he just says it will be fixed "" within hours " ; now  I will be switching to another provider soon
