Currently I use BT for my landline phone service, and namesco as my broadband ISP. I haven't had any problems with either, so am happy to keep things as they are.
Now, I've got my partner moving in, and she has a TalkTalk phone and broadband at her home with several months left on the contract. As she doesn't want to end the contact (I assume is 12 or 18 months), she wants to move the phone part of it over to my house. The TalkTalk phone service is cheaper monthly (free calls, etc.) than the BT one, so I can understand why. However she is seriously unimpressed with the TalkTalk broadband service (so unreliable), so would prefer that I stayed using namesco which I use.
Now it is all sounding a bit complex to me. Can she move the TalkTalk account over to my place, taking over from my existing BT account (for the landline, retaining my phone number)? Is it worth doing, and is there going to be loads of charges and contracts extensions involved? Can I keep using namesco with the phone line once it's in TalkTalk's hands?
Or is it easier and cheaper just to terminate her TalkTalk account, and I stay as I am with BT & namesco?
