    Re: mortages rates

unless a fees-free deal comes along with no early repayment charges which is lower than 6.99% then do it - currently this product does not exist so I would say stay as you are and keep an eye on things...

    Re: mortages rates

Hi...just stay on the variable rate this is likely to reduce to below the fixed rate you have been offered.

that sounds remarkably like the previous comment - weird!....although I would suggest the best course of action would be to stay on their Standard Variable Rate.
