    Mobile phone recycling

A friend told me that i can recycle my old mobile phones the other week and i'm yet to do it. I have about four old phones and i have searched a number of websites including www.envirofone.com www.mazuma.co.uk and www.mopay.co.uk which have all given me some nice prices. Does anybody know of any more or have you used these? If so what has your experience been like?

I’m thinking of using www.mopay.co.uk because they are now offering Marks & Spencer vouchers as an alternative to cash - which I think is genius! Especially with Fathers day around the corner - recycle your mobile and give your dad M&S vouchers for father’s day - brilliant.

Any help or experiences would be welcome.

    Ric

I've used envirofone 3 times in the past. No problems, you get a pre-paid postbag to send back your phone and the cheque follows soon after.

I have used mopay.co.uk and Envirofone. I found that i got my money quicker through mopay.co.uk i think i got it within 4 days which was nice. That was literally the only difference. Although i did have one mate who used the site after i recommended it to him and he was told his phone was worth £30 but in fact he only ended up getting £11. I have seen that www.mopay.co.uk is offering M&S vouchers now. If i were you i would go with them - nothing against envirofone! Great idea about fathers day btw - might visit the site myself.

Ive used envirofone in the past too. Sold some really old phones I had lying around the house and got a few quid from them. I think its a really neat concept.

Ya, i agree with you. Mobile recycling is an excellent concept. I use fonebank to recycle. By the way can let me know how much cash did you receive and how long it took? I actually got my cash within 3 days.

    Re: Mobile phone recycling

I've used Envirofone and it's 1st class. My fone was about 1yr old, in good nick, Nokia somethingorother - can't remember but I got £25 for it. U can search wot ur fone is worth on the site but if it's not in as good a nick as they expect they will pay you less than quoted. Fairly fast turnaround from wot I remember cheque arrivd within maybe 7-10 days, but pretty nifty idea I think. The company sell the traded fones to 3rd world countries - who allegedly are not as up to date/fussy as us here in UK! Don't know whether I favour the latter part of the scheme or not but money talks.
