Internet bank that can send to foreign bank

Hi, I hope someone can help.

I need a bank that does internet banking, where funds can be sent from there to international banks. Any suggestions on providers that can do this?

    Hi,

I know the citibank business accounts can do it but not sure about the personal accounts.

Most if not all current accounts now come with a "BIC" and "IBAN" codes. I am pretty sure that's what you need. I've just Googled them separately and the information points to that. A&L's Premier Direct has both numbers.

Yes, that's not what he means. He wants the ability to make international bank transfers via his online banking.

Correct axisme - and for free if possible too!

Short of writing to all the banks (they dont tend to advertise this feature), I was hoping somone here knew for certain.

My citibank business account supports it and they do really fast transfers too. CHAPS within the UK for no additional cost and, in some cases, same day transfers to other countries. They are certainly a step ahead in international banking but I'm not sure if there personal accounts allow it too. Worth giving them a call and asking.

not clear exactly what you want to do ...uk banks are an expensive way to send money to foreign banks , presumably in their local currency ; do you want to do this regularly , like a standing order ? if so , set up a standing order to somebody like currencies direct who will give you a better exchange rate and not charge you the usual electronic transfer fee of 20/30 euro's

or maybe you want something else , in which case you will need to be specific , like from uk current account to eurozone current account at irregular intervals ; why does this have to be internet for example , why not a telephone instruction?

what sort of sums involved can affect your cost ; one think is for sure , you won't get a good deal through a bank in uk , if that is what you are proposing

    Hi

I bank with HSBC and they do internet banking transfers to international bank accounts. However, when I send money OS, I do it with Forex. My account here is linked with it as is my international bank account. The money transfers within 3 working days and only costs £7 each transfer. It is done on line, I can get an estimate of how much my pounds translate to and I get an SMS and an email when it is done telling me how much my pound bought. I have had no problems with them at all.
