in £2000 debt and need a loan to pay it off. help anyone?

Afternoon everyone. Im in a total of £2000 debt built up of credit cards, one massive phone bill, and an overdraft.

I'm getting abit anxious and scared so i want to pay this off with a loan and then I'll only have one thing to pay - the loan.

My credit rating, although ive not had it checked, i can imagine is pretty bad. I've made alot of late payments etc because i simply cannot afford it on time. Im 20 years old and a student.

I've given Yes Loans a call and i was accepted a loan but after reading many posts on here about how terrible they are i dont want to go ahead with them.

Are there any good loan companies out there willing to give me a loan of £2000 even though my credit rating is bad?

    Thanks in advance.

In my view you should try other options first. Often if you phone up someone that you owe money to, explain the situation and offer to pay the amount off at a monthly amount that you can afford (do a budget first), you will get a better deal than you'd get from any lender.

If your credit rating is bad, the only people who will lend to you will be the expensive lenders with the bad reputations.

thanks for your reply, i will do that. i'll call them up asking for a re-payment plan, although i have had a couple and the montly payment was more than i thought i could afford and i failed to keep up.

i'll ask if they can put me on another one but at a more affordable option.

OK, as a Student I presume you are on a very low / no income so I can see how £2k of debt is very scary, however in a few years you will be a fully fledged tax payer and much better able to deal with it. Until then I suggest you follow maxstreams advice and negotiate your payments down. £2k isn't really that much to deal with - believe me you are not the first student to leave uni with £2k debt!
