    home insurance for executor

We are inheriting our mother's house and need to insure it. What's the best way to get a quote? I feel unsure about answering the standard questions (e.g. answer = unoccupied) asked on this site/other sites since I may get astronomical quotes and the current insurer (Prudential) will take into account that we live in the same village and visit every couple of days to check on the property. How can I get a good quote? Thanks for any advice.

    Hi mlp,

Good question. A lot of companies do not insure this as it is a non standard risk. The good news is that it is not a market exclusion and very much insurable. Try approaching Towergate and Adrian Flux.
