Holiday insurance for a DIY holiday

I have booked A DIY holiday to Menorca this summer. Flights, car hire and villa hire, have all been booked seperately. If I needed to make a claim on my travel insurance for something like cancelling the holiday entirely, would each seperate booking have the excess applied. Or, would all 3 parts be classed as 1 holiday and only 1 excess for each person be charged? Hope this makes sense and someone knows the answer.

The only real answer to this is - Read the policy. BB

    Circumstances alters cases!!

The cancellation of all three elements should generate one overall excess per person booked not one excess per person per element.

It is worth double checking with your chosen provider but it would be unusual if an insurer did apply an excess for each booked portion of a DIY holiday.

    Hope this helps.
