    High APR

    Hi,

I recently took out a Barclayloan to consilidate some debt. I was shocked to find that the APR on the loan was 24%. I have banked with barclays for over 15 years and my credit score is 924. I've never defaulted on credit agreements and find it hard to understand why it is so high? I do speak to barclays on a monthly basis to see if I can rearrange to bring the APR down but have had my joy. I don't want to apply for more loans as this will affect my credit score.

Any ideas what I can do?

    Hey

Assuming your rating as good as you believe it to be i dont see the harm in applying elsewhere to cut that interest rate.

If the loan is in it's infancy then thats the best time to do it as you wont have paid much interest.
