    girlfriends insurance

my girlfriend has her own car, with me as a named driver, she has only had her licence a year, ive had mine for 7 years, iam a named driver so she pays less on her policy, i have my own car with insurance in my own name.

if my girlfriend has an accident, will it effect my no claims?

Hi -- No, it would only affect your insurance if your girlfriend is a named driver on your policy.

    Ha..Ha -- Yep....know what you mean !

But until she is associated on your policy as a named driver, then she is not a risk that would need declaring to your insurers.

    Re: girlfriends insurance

I had a similar arrangement with my girlfriend where I was the main driver on her policy and had my own car and insurance too. I thought she would be the one to lose the no claims bonus so I left her off my policy but I ended up wrecking her car one night in the lanes.

Now she has 0 no claims discount and gets to take the mick out of me down the pub in front of my mates.

    Great... :(
